I am a highly experienced copyeditor, proofreader and subeditor with two decades of experience in the publishing industry. I have worked on publications for many high-profile clients, including Turner Prize-winning artist Lubaina Himid, architect David Chipperfield and artist Ryan Gander. I was project editor for the major contemporary photography survey Vitamin Ph: New Perspectives on Photography, published by Phaidon Press, as well as copyediting the critical reader for the Venice Architecture Biennale, several exhibition catalogues for Richard Nagy Gallery, and book projects for the British Council, the Crafts Council and the National Trust, among many other clients. I have worked in-house as Assistant Editor of The Art Newspaper, Production Editor of Icon magazine and Managing Editor of Contemporary magazine, as well as subediting for a variety of titles including GQ magazine, Apollo magazine, Disegno magazine and Jocks & Nerds magazine. I recently helped launch The New Era, a quarterly magazine on interior design produced in Stockholm.

I have worked with a wide range of clients over the past ten years, including literary fiction authors, PhD candidates and environmental charities. I have edited books for Turner Prize-winning artist Lubaina Himid, designer Alexander Lervik, architect Andreas Martin-Löf and artists Eline McGeorge and Ryan Gander, as well as the critical reader for Venice Architecture Biennale by David Chipperfield and book projects with the British Council, the Crafts Council, the Royal College of Art and the National Trust. I have also copyedited and subedited for a variety of magazines, including GQ, Apollo, Disegno and Jocks & Nerds. I currently subedit The Art Newspaper and The New Era magazine.

  • Liaising with the Managing Editor, Deputy Publisher and Publisher over scheduling, content and overall design of the book, and ensuring the delivery of the book on time, on budget and to the highest quality
  • Writing general introduction and jacket copy

  • Working closely with the designer over all aspects of the book, including layouts, jacket and front/end matter
  • Working closely with the production department, coordinating all aspects of reproduction and image quality, and extensively checking proofs and ozalids
